Funding for this position is provided by the Canada Summer Jobs program. Therefore, all applicants must be aged 15 to 30 years who are full-time students intending to return to their studies in the next school year.
arrive alive DRIVE SOBER is a charity (founded in 1989 as the Ontario Community Council on Impaired Driving) that works to educate the public about the dangers of impaired driving and prevention strategies.
Students will be required to interact with the public at awareness events, organize & run events, prepare materials for distribution (including mass mailings), and perform some administrative tasks. Each student will also be given projects to oversee throughout the summer.
Applicants should familiarize themselves with arrive alive DRIVE SOBER and the impaired driving concern.
Pay: $12.50 an hour
Start date: May 1st, 2017
End date: August 26th, 2017
Able to work some evenings and weekends
Able to communicate effectively (written and oral)
Motivated, hard-working, and willing to learn
Able to work as an individual and as part of a team
Valid G2 or G licence
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of social media
